These Silver Spangled Hamburgs are a little slice of Americana and a thread of Oregon poultry history. It feels like a lifetime ago that Jim LeGendre was raising these in the southern Willamette Valley and bringing a string of them to area shows. Our friend Thomas purchased his original stock from Jim and has continued that line unbroken. This is a wonderful line of birds, with excellent type, size, and calm demeanor. They have been selected for highly refined spangling and refined head points. I have to say that European breeds often get a bad rap for being flighty, but these birds are inquisitive and easy to be around and should be easily cage-trained for exhibition. There are a limited number of pairs available from the 2024 hatch.
 
Pairs are priced at $250. Shipping and box runs $135 anywhere the USPS delivers in the contiguous US states. We ship through May, depending on the weather and bird availability however the number of available birds is limited so we recommend ordering early. Birds will be shipped in the order paid. We aim to ship any orders received by close of business on Friday the following Monday.
