Seldom in the world of project colors do we see such a refined bird that is both an excellent representative of the breed as well as the color. The Brassy Back and Blue Brassy Back reach a high level of perfection being compact with stylish lines, wide feather, and large round lobe. The first time I visited Thomas the Brassy Backs were one of the varieties of colored Rosecombs that appeared to be the most perfected. The Brassy Back and Blue Brassy Back are the same family line, with the Blue being a dilution of the Black. While these two varieties are not recognized by the American Bantam Association, and I think they certainly should be, the color standard follows that of the Old English Game. When done well, there is hardly a more striking pattern with bright brass base color offering stark contrast to the black and blue patterning. These birds are very limited this season, with only two pair of each color variety available. For the true afficionado I recommend starting with a pair of each color variety.
 
Pairs are priced at $300. Shipping and box runs $135 anywhere the USPS delivers in the contiguous US states. We ship through May, depending on the weather and bird availability however the number of available birds is limited so we recommend ordering early. Birds will be shipped in the order paid.
